probably best described as an elderly eccentric.Am rather disabled (very much disabled in fact) so rely on books for most of my entertainment. I read a book a day on average, so thank heavens for r.i.s.i. and bookmooch, as can no longer get to the charity shops and our housebound library service is facing severe cuts, if not total obliteration. I'm a Christmas nut, also love whodunnits, so any books combining the 2 are a bonus, hence my wishlist.
I live alone except for my 3 furbabies - my lovely cavalier spaniels, lacey, ruby and ebony.
I love all animals and was always into animal rescue when I was able, now try and support animal charities where I can. Also have a cat living with us - Cleo. Cat lovers will understand why I put it like this.
Have made some nice friends on the net through risi, and one really good one who lives not too far away, and visits regularly for bookswaps and fish and chips! (hi Carol)
Would love to hear from anyone within reach of Stourbridge - as would really love to set up an occasional book club meeting.
I should mention I cannot always post books as quickly as I would wish as I have to rely on carers to do this, and they are not all willing to do so, so it sometimes means a delay of a day or two, depending on the rota. Sorry. Rose.
p.s. if you request a swap with me and you don't have anything I want, I would probably be prepared to send the book you want free for the cost of postage, so please ask. Thanks.
