It cover all this through the bitter-sweet nature of family life, bravery and the kindness of strangers, small town and street life ... and Death...

I couldn't be bothered to hunt through 100's of posts in book chat to see if there was already a thread, so have started my own. Anyway am reading this at the moment and it's taking me forever. Admitedly I am only reading it in bed as it's too big to carry on the train, but I think I'm only on page 185ish...
