I'm with you, Treez, I have read Dan Brown's books too, and have enjoyed them. They are escapist nonsense but sometimes one wants to escape into a world of fantasy and they are fast-paced - perfect plane reading, I have found. Usually bad writing irritates me, but Brown's quirks tend to be more matters of repetition and superfluous ...

I have had this one on my shelf for ages and thought that perhaps I should finally get around to reading it. I haven't read much of Atwood - 'The Handmaiden's Tale' is one of my top 5 of all time, while I really didn't enjoy 'The Penelopiad' at all. I agree - I don't like the glare on the Fire. I preferred the first kindle, the one with the grey screen and keyboard. That said, I do love my kindle and find it very convenient, but I have made a temporary return to paper books, purely in an attempt to work my way through some of the several hundred I have piling up around the house.

I will happily sponsor you but I can't do it this month as money is really tight - bank account is already in negative and it's not even halfway through the month yet. I don't have a grater attachment. Hopefully it will work if I cube it instead and then blend when finished. It does sound lovely. Putting the apples in could make it quite sweet, but I guess the curry and spices offset that.
