I'm feeling totally virtuous! I've read 12 this month and bought none - it fact since September of last year I've only bought 2 books!!! I can hardly believe it!!

I finished Chasing the Nightbird by Krista Russell which was OK, easy enough YA read but nothing special and started Good Graces by Lesley Kagen which is a lot better and sequel to the brilliant Whistling in the Dark.

Over the weekend I finished The Food of Love by Anthony Capella which was totally my type of book and then I started and finished the first in the Goldy Schultz series of 'cozy' mysteries Catering for Nobody by Diane Mott Davidson which is definitely an above average book for this particular genre which can be very hit and miss but this ...

I finished Consequences of the Heart by Peter Cunningham yesterday, which by the title sounds like a piece of fluffy chicklit but actually wasn't and after a very slow start, turned out to be a very good book. Then I started The Oriental Wife by Evelyn Toynton which has got off to a good start so far.

I was thinking of buying this today! I resisted though! I've read a couple of her books and enjoyed them and a couple and didn't like them at all! So I think I'll continue not buying any books for a while longer and not succumb!!

I finished Whistling in the Dark by Lesley Kagen this morning which was a great book of growing up in 1950s Milwaukee, and the story of the O'Malley sisters. Great stuff! And now I'm going to start The Maid by Kimberley Cutter which is about Joan of Arc.

I finished The Smoke Jumper by Nicholas Evans this morning and then I started Whistling in the Dark by Lesley Kagen which seems quite good from the first few chaptes.

I bought my Sony Reader to use just now and then but I find I'm using it more and more now. I wouldn't be without it. It goes everywhere with me and if I have a few minutes to spare I can just read a little bit and carry around over 100 books with my at any one time. I know they're not for everyone but they're all ...

I have NO idea what the book was about - went totally over my head and I didn't really like it!
