  • Re: Stephen King recommendations for my son please

I'm not a die hard fan, I read a few and got bored and found a better writer- James Herbert. The first King book I read was Carrie. I'd reccommend any of these by King: -The Shining -Pet Semetary -The Green Mile King never scared me and if I could tempt you to get him James Herbert. Stephen King's books can be slow and dull ...

  • Re: Does anyone have a Dyson?

My mother used to. Then she bought a morphy richards from qvc or one of the other shopping channels. I had an attic bedroom and it was light to carry up the stairs and the sunction on it is brilliant. I wish I had one myself (moved out recently) It's not a handheld obviously but it's a very light weight. this is a newer version of ...

  • Re: Hi from a newbie

It's cheaper to post 2nd class. Just make sure when you post the book you wrap it in a carrier bag or something before you wrap it with brown paper in case it gets wet. Thats it really. Happy swapping, I don't swap much but I really like this site Jen

  • Re: Peaches for Monsieur le Curé

I'm not really a Joanne Harris fan but I love the Chocolat books. You must read lollipop shoes too. Although they only mention the events of lollipop shoes briefly why miss reading it? Peaches for Mosieur cure follows the same style as Chocolat, you get Vianne's viewpoint and also Reynard. It's a good story, Lansquenet is divided into ...

  • Re: New Reading Challenge ~ Read a book from the week and year that you were born.

What a good idea these books challenges are, especially if you can't decide what to read next.  I am a very fussy reader though. Where can we find them I should ask?  I was born in 1988. I've read Anne Rice Queen of the Damned years ago, that kind of takes the fun out of reading from the year I was born, espeically since ...

  • Re: Could I swap a dvd box set on here?

Yeah I've put it on ebay twice now. I guess it depends what you're selling I sold a bunch of cds and t-shirts by my chemical romance but not two brand new t-shirts and that box set. I also tried facebook buy and sell. I've got the boxset on a swap site for points. It's scrubs series 4, I can only get a couple of pence in ...

  • Re: Could I swap a dvd box set on here?

You make a good point pennyt, I guess people would do that woudln't they. Honestly I hadn't thought of all that and I can understand why this is just for books now and really it should stay that way There are sites you can swap them for points but it's not the same

  • Re: Could I swap a dvd box set on here?

That's a shame really because I have nowhere else to swap and feel I can trust people on here. Don't really see what harm it could do

  • Re: ebooks vs. paper books

Reasons why I prefer an actual book: -books are cheaper, I can get them in The Works quite cheap -i can borrow from my library which I have been doing since I was 3 and will continue to do so, so why have a kindle? -I don't like reading a screen at all -Nothing beats the feel of an actual book, I'd get more pleasure out of owning a ...
