Finished Gone Girl yesterday, luke warm reception from me!
Was going to start on The Famished Road by Ben Okri from mob lib last night, but due to a cold, I wasn't concentrating, and tired, so I will start it properly today!

I'm really ambivalent about this one! I figured out all the twists well in advance, knew she was alive, knew she was framing him, knew that her ultimate punishment at the end would be the baby he could never abandon, it was all a tad too predictable, I really hate figuring out the twists or the whodunnits, it makes me feel like it ...

Ambivalent response from me, it was an enjoyable enough read, but I figured out all the twists well in advance, which, anyone who knows me, knows this utterly ruins a book for me, cos in my view, if I can work it out, it's not well written enough!! I'm with Penny and Anne too, I just enjoy what I'm reading, not the format so much! I have been reading more tree books, but only because i've had a lot of loaners that need passing on/back and also trying to get the number of tree books down a tad as moving soon!

Absolutely bog all! Tonights plans cancelled last minute, leaving me with a free weekend with nothing to do, all on my own, which would've been bliss last weekend, when that was what I wanted, but now feels like a punishment worse than death, after being excited about a night out tonight!
Sun will be church etc as usual, and then ...
