    Keeping Faith **SPOILER**

I have just finished Keeping Faith by Jodi Picoult. I have really enjoyed it and have read another one of hers before, Plain Truth. Both these books ended with a court case and have been told that another of hers also ends with a court case. Do all of her book finish this way?  If they do it can be a little off putting  as you will know what is likely to happen !

Not all of them have court cases don't worry.  Its the twists in the court case that are great though.

Most of them do have court cases although its like gemsey said the twists which make it interesting. I think she's a bit like John Grisham in that respect only more girly.

I didn't like Keeping Faith! It didn't give any answers and was really rather vague. But there was one passage in it that was so good it made it worth reading.

    Re: Keeping Faith

I think nine out of her 14 books ( i might have misconeted and stil ahve one i havent read) have court cases, but that makes me more involved in them because i know there is going to be a court case twist towards the end.

    Re: Keeping Faith

I love all of her books and especially enjoy the court cases and the fact that she brings back characters adds a bit of continuity to her stories.....nineteen minutes is a fab read.

Do tell what passage was that Juno? I read it recently too & it was alright, like you say more questions asked than answered. The end was really good though had me thinking. I think I've had enough of her books for a while they are getting a bit predictable!

Did anyone else visualise the televangelist as Matthew McConaughey? If they ever make a film of this, he'd be a shoo-in for that role!

Think i agree with you there. Alot of questions left unanswered too. Slightly put off reading more of her books for a while after this one, which is a shame as mostly enjoyed the others of her i have read.

Let me tell you what you feel like when you know you are ready to die.
You sleep a lot, and when you wake up the very first thought in your head is that you wish you could go back to bed.
You go entire days without eating, because food is the commodity that keeps you here.
You read the same page a hundred times.
You rewind your life like a videocassette and see things that make you weep, things that make you pause, but nothing that makes you want to play it forward.
You forget to comb your hair, to shower, to dress.
And then one day, when you make the decision that have enough energy left in you to do this one last, monumental thing, there comes a peace. Suddenly you are counting moments as you haven't for months. Suddenly you have a secret that makes you smile, that makes people say you look wonderful, although you feel like a shell - brittle and capable of cracking into a thousand pieces.
I was looking forward to dying. I remember holding the razor blade an hoping to make the deepest, cleanest cut. I remember calculating how long it would be until I heard the voices of angels. I wanted nothing more than to be rid of myself, of this body and this person who had nothing coming to her but pain.

I typed it out and saved it on my computer :)
