    Second Form at Malory Towers

This school story by Enid Blyton is set at Malory Towers, where the girls are returning for their second year. Their adventures are portrayed here in a simple manner suitable for young readers. This is one of six stories about the girls of Malory Towers.

After finishing this book I finally realised how much I missed reading Malory Towers. I've read the first, second and third book now and I absolutley love them to bits. Would definitly reccommed it to other readers!! 10/10

Forgot about the St Clare ones. They were good as well but I think Malory Towers was just a wee bit better. I loved all Enid Blyton books.

I loved them too-and have been known to re-read them on an occasion, even now. Seem to recall a thread from sometime ago, when we were dicussing our "comfort" reads, and I opted for Malory. From horror to Malory, Megsy, you have an excellent range of reading mateial, which is fantastic.Arlene-you're never too old for Enid!

My Mum used to read the Famous Five when she was at school and she loved them. I haven't tried them or St Clare's (well, I did try St Clare's once when I was little, but I was too hooked on Malory Towers to give them a go!), but I loved the Secret Seven. I wanted to be in a cool club with club badges and secret investigations. I STILL want that! 0000121

As an alternative to the famous five, Arthur Ransome's "Swallows and Amazons" would be worth considering.

Wow, Malory Towers, I loved them all. Spent my childhood reding everything I could find in the library and Enid Blyton was always available. I too enjoyed the St Clare's and Secret Seven but could never get into Famous Five books, though my sister enjoyed them yet I was (and still am!) much more of a reader.

I loved all of them, and Famous 5 worth a go, definitely. They're quite old fashioned now but brilliant all the same.

I have a friend who went to boarding school and she said they did play lacrosse, have midnight feasts and sneak out at night so I now know Malory Towers was all true!!
