Some peope have asked how books get their descriptions on the site, why some don't have pictures and why there are two descriptions. Here's why!
When books a listed, ReadItSwapIt draws the description and image through from Amazon. This works 90% of the time, but occasionally Amazon can't provide the information which is why you may see a <no descrption available> comment.
In the library, books are listed with the image and description from Amazon at the top. Underneath are all the people who own the book and their description of the book.
In the 'Latest Books' section, the preview text is the description from Amazon. Clicking on the book will show the full Amazon description and the description the user has entered.
When listing your books, it is a good idea to check the details carefully to make sure the right book/edition and synopsis are displayed. If no description is available to download from Amazon for one of your books, you will have a much better chance of swapping that book if you provide a short summary yourself in the comment box, so that other swappers have a good idea of whether they will be interested in the book or not.
