I loved these as well and I've decided to read 1 book from my childhood each month. Well that's the plan.

My copy of The Secret Garden is the most battered book I own! And I get ex-library books all the time, and charity shop books...I actually got The Secret Garden new and was always careful with my books as a child, but I just read it so many times it couldn't help but get damaged.

Probably classed as young adult these days but I got a book on her called The L-shaped Room by Lynne Reid Banks that I read as a teenager and loved. Someone had it free for postage and it's the same version that I borrowed from my local library and is an ex library book itself. Wonderful RISI
