yes, actually!  It took some minutes to work out what the hell the website was all about, but I may well have a go.

    Re: Nanowrimo

I've tried to do this the last few years but have always totally failed. However, I'm already planning for my NaNoWriMo novel and will have a lot less homework this November so I'm hoping to reach 50K this time!!

Even if you don't manage to write an entire novel, I can guarantee that you will still have fun attempting it Smile

Yay other people participating! I was trying to intrigue people but maybe i should be clearer. The challenge is to write a novel in a month. It's an international event and great fun.

    No one else is interested?

Gah, you are all boring! Everyone is too scared to try writing a 50,000 word novel in a month.

...if anyone signs up I'll let them see some of my rubbish attempts, which have massive typos in them which make no sense. Surely no one can resist that! Stick out tongue

I hope you have fun! I've never been to a meet up, but I noticed that some Edinburgh people are meeting today - why do they have to make it a Sunday? I could never make it from church to the centre of Edinburgh on time. On the brightside, Scotland has regions this year, so I actually know what's happening in my area :)

I signed up for it too, someone I know did it last year and I felt envious at the time.  Now that my name is down I am thinking cripes!

    Re: Nanowrimo

I meant to do this last year but things came up and it just didn't happen.  This year I have so much on that I know there is no way I'd have time for it; plus not really in the mood for trying to write a novel at the moment.  I am hoping to do it next year, but I don't think I'll limit myself to a novel - just any kind of book I fancy writing would be great. Smile   I'm interested to hear how other people who are participating this year get on.

    Re: Nanowrimo

Who here is starting writing at midnight tonight? I'm going to be out working (well, not proper work, I don't get paid, but I'm filling in for my dad's fellow cameraman as we've yet to find a replacement) until at least midnight tonight, so if I'm still awake I think I'm just going to start writing Smile

I had a study period today at school and outlined my first seven chapters so I'm feeling much more positive about this now. I was really ill on Wednesday and totally forgot about NaNoWriMo until this morning and I was like "Ahh! I can't write a novel in a month - I don't even have a proper plan!"

My only major problem is that none of my characters have names yet. I need to fix that before I go to work tonight.
