    Short Story Collections

I have recently started reading short stories at lunch time but am starting to run out of reading material! Can anyone suggest any good short story collections?

    The ones I have are:

    Twisted – Jeffrey Deaver

Some Rain Must Fall – Michael Faber

This Year it will be Different – Maeve Binchy

Nightmares and Dreamscapes – Stephen King

    Everything’s Eventual - Stephen King

Four Past Midnight - Stephen King

Hearts in Atlantis - Stephen King

    Skeleton Crew - Stephen King

    Different Seasons - Stephen King

Jeffrey Deaver has a follow up - More Twisted.

Jeffery Archer writes good shorties too and has several anthologies (there might be one on my swap list??)

Daphne du Maurier has a couple of collections.

Joanne Harris - Jigs and Reels.

I've been acquiring quite a few collections myself and would be happy to lend you any you want.  If you look on my TBR they are marked (SS) (I will just check it is up to date in this regard).

    Re: Short Story Collections

I have quite a collection of short stories, I put them in my spare room so if I have guests to stay they can read them.  I've got a couple of Jeremy Clarkson books, Marian Keyes - Under the Duvet, but think you'll enjoy the Jeffery Archer short stories if you enjoyed Twisted.  There is also More Twisted by the same author.  And Mary Higgins Clark wrote some short stories which are good - the Anastasia Syndrome.

Good luck in finding some more.
Currently reading - The Bone Garden by Tess Gerritsen

Thanks to Lisa and Wendy for the tips, I've made myself a little list. I'm not in any rush to borrow any (thanks Wendy), I just wanted a few ideas.

At the moment I'm either reading short stories or light reading at lunch times.

Angela Carter's The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories is a good read.  Might not be to everyone's taste as its a retelling of fairy tales for adults but I really enjoyed it

There's a series from Telegram books of short stories by women from different countries that I've been enjoying, there is a full list of the titles here.

I'm currently part way through The Oxford Book of Modern Fairy Tales, varied lengths, some more childish and others more adult, many are brilliantly funny.
