    LOL!!

When I saw the title to this thread, I had a feeling that it would be from your Chloe, and not a forum memeber whose name I hadn't quite figured out yet!

Read as pointed pictures out to my 2 eldest from them being 10days old and they are both avid readers. In fact my eldest son could recognise a lot of words at 3 and could pick out every letter of the alaphbet  and by 4 could recite it.My third child wouldn't sit and be read to and he is not really a reader as such but is coming in to it now with computer books.

I started reading to mine when they were just under a year old. We got the free ones from Bookstart at 8 months and that spurred me on. Both are now keen readers, even son who took a long time to convince that reading could be fun, despite his being good at it. He now has a reading age 4 yrs above his chronological age according to the tests they do at school.

And of course, it's fun. I love reading to my two and miss some of the gorgeous picture books that they've now grown out of, though my daughter sometimes reads them to her dolls!

    Smile, you'll feel better!
