Mary Doria Russell: The Sparrow

David Sedaris: When You Are Engulfed In Flames

Joy Williams: Escapes

Gosh, it feels really good to list the books this way. It's overwhelming to look at them on the shelves sometimes. I've also got 4 swaps I'm expecting at the moment, so those books may scoot to the top of the list!

Anybody read any of these and can advocate for what I cannot wait another day to read?

the abortionists daughter is the only one I have read, it was quite good - I have just finished a book and trying to decide what to read next - its overwhelming with the amount I have trying to choose the next one

Don't have any of those, but my OH has read the Alchemist and loved it.

Enjoyed Addition, would recommend that.

I read and loved The Alchemist. Nineteen minutes is one of my favourite JP books. Haven't read the others.

I have read and loved The Alchemist. It's a really fast read too so won't take you long. I plan to re-read it one day.

I haven't read any of the others but I have The Abortionist's Daughter and Nineteen Minutes on my TBR.

You guys have convinced me. I may read The Alchemist and Addition next. I just can't keep all the books at bay right now!
