    Help Me Choose.....

my holiday reads. Although this is quite a long list (obviously I won't read them all on holiday!) I will endeavour to make the majority of these books my next reads for the next few months. I'll take the 5 books with the majority of votes on holiday with me and read the rest later on, although I'm not sure which order I will read them in.

I've gone through my tbr and picked out some of the titles that have been in my mind for a while, plus a few others that are part of a series that I want to get on with. I'm not going away for a couple of weeks so plenty of time to vote!

Your votes would be appreciated, as would any comments.

It wasn't a hard choice for me - I went for the Pillars of the Earth as it is a fantastic read - I started it just before going on holiday a few years ago and finished it in about 3 days on holiday - it was like it was glued to my hand.  In fact I have read it twice and may read it again very soon.

My second choice on that list is the Surgeon - I've just read that and I'm going to take The Apprentice on holiday with me :-)

I voted for A quiet belief in angels as I really enjoyed this one.

I also loved The Surgeon it was a great read, a good fast paced thriller.  And I also really enjoyed Sleepyhead.  So it depends how many books you are planning to take with you, if you are taking 3 I would pick these ones.

I voted for the Perfect Husband by Lisa Gardner - an excellent read - a real page turner

Have also read The Surgeon, Retribution, and My Sister's Keeper - enjoyed all of them and would take any of these

Labyrinth - although it was good, I found it really hard to get into

Many excellent books there - but I went for a short history... as I read this recently and would be a quick, light read.  Very amusing in places butoriginal as well.

Also love 13th tale, observations and boy in striped pyjamas but was difficult to choose as so many are very good books!

Ooh, I thought the list would be visible when I replied, but from memory...I would recommend, The Food of Love, The Observations, A Thousand Splendid Suns. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, most definitely the Thirteenth Tale, I enjoyed Mr Pip too.  Will now dash back to original post and see if I missed any!

edited to add, the Night Watch, Northern Lights (loved this series) and Big Stone Gap - am a great fan of Adriana Trigiani - there are others but I'll leave you in peace now...
