 The first chapter of the 4th book was in the back of Undead and Unwed (the 1st of the Queen Betsy series) by MaryJanice Davidson which I've just read and I loved it so much I had to get a copy. It's one of the best books I've read in ages and I've got the second one to read now. I want to collect the others. I've heard the series just keeps on getting better. I can't wait!

I got the first book off here and then picked up books 2 and 3 in one of those cheap bookshops in a 3-for-£5 deal, so I'm looking forward to reading these!

By the way, did you know that this series is being turned into a tv series, written by the same guy who did Six Feet Under? It starts airing in the US this autumn.

I just got a swap on book one dead until dark - as it looks preety good, just got to find no 2 then i'll start reading.....lol cos i don't like stopping,,,,all i heard is good about it....... Cool there making it into a series hope it lasts i was gutted when moonlight finished....that was the onlt vampire series on as well, so need something cos were short on vampires series .......i'll get my family to send it over for me .....save waiting for british tv to catch up....lol 

I'm just finishing the first one and will be putting 2 and 3 up when I've read them, but that probably won't be for a couple of weeks...

The TV series is called True Blood and it's on HBO, so there's a reasonable chance it won't get cancelled straight away (I was frustrated by Moonlight getting canned as well) since they tend to let shows run a bit longer before they decide whether or not to renew them.

I'll be putting no 2 Sookie Stackhouse book up soon and probably the 1st Mary Janice Davidson book too as I'm setting myself a task of reading some of these first books in series I've collected!  I loved Sookie Stackhouse and just bought a couple of books from a new series of Charlaine Harris called Grave Sight.  There are so many books I want to buy and read - it's just as well I'm off for a couple of days next week!

Love the Sookie Stackhouse series. Have read the first three and have number 4 on my TBR list. Grave Sight is good, very different to the Southern Vampire books. Have the second book in that series, Grave Surprise, on my TBR list.  I really like her cosy murder mystery series books as well

Martine - I should be putting some of my books up next week - probably not till after Wednesday as my PC still isn't working at home.  I just read a book called Kitty and the Midnight Hour by Carrie Vaughn which is about a werewolf DJ!  Sounds a bit far fetched but is really a brilliant book - I just loved it!

I have Sookie Stackhouse 2. TBR and I really want 3.

I enjoyed Kitty as well, so I'm keeping an eye out for the rest of those, since I've been disappointed by a couple of urban fantasy series and liked that one way more than I expected to...

I'll be putting 2 and 3 of this series up in the next couple of weeks - patience is a virtue! :P

Kitty and the Midnight Hour by Carrie Vaughn sounds interesting .

Been knocked back on all my sookie request but i'm still reading the fingerprints series by melinda metz at mo any way just read book 1 & 2 started 3, should finish them by middle of week.

Charlaine Harris' website is well worth a look if you're a fan of Sookie. Her Harper series is great as well and definitely worth a look. But you should take a look at the website www.charlaineharris.com as she updates it regularly with news about the books and the TV series. Her blog is great as well as it always includes book recommendations too. 

Ive just brought the first one after having them recommended to me on here as i am enjoying the twlight series by stephenie meyer so much, cant wait to get started on it now x
