Has anyone read this?

I started it this lunch time and am 80 pages into it, but god is it me or is it slow going? she has only just stolen the gold from him and ran off. Does the book get any better? If not can you tell me cos I will just give up with it

Well the book definately improved! Thank God, I stayed up late last night just to finish it, it was a really good book actually. Quite sad throughout because you want so badly for the main characters to be together but due to circumstance and other people they can't. I loved it in the end, and was definately worth reading through those first 80 pages or so...

I think that Elizabeth Chadwick's books do start off quite slowly, but they are usually a good read and I'm never bored by them....

The Greatest Knight is excellent...

Chadwick is one of my recent finds-thanks to Joisie's recommendations. They're interesting reads-just finished "Daughters of the Grail" which was excellent, if you want to borrow it? Hope she does a sequel to this one, as the characters were fabulous.

Thanks Elaine, I might get back to you on that one, I have The Champion on my TBR as well, is that one any good? I will read that one in the next couple of weeks maybe.

The Champion is one of her earlier books, and like the others stories it starts off slowly but is a good read....
