I've only read the Bridget Jones books on your list, and I loved them both to the extent they are on my "pile of books yo-yo will never give away".  In fact I had to re-buy the first one because I lent it to someone who never gave me it back - GRRR

    Re: Deefer's TBR List

The Eight - Katherine Neville Not bad. I read it a while ago but enjoyed it
Half of a Yellow Sun - C Ngozi Aldichie I really enjoyed this as it made my think, but be warned, it's not an easy read due to the nature of the subject.
The Interpretation of Murder - Jed Rubenfield - This book caused huge arguments in my book group - I enjoyed it but there only a couple of us who did - most didn't.
Labyrinth - Kate Mosse - I thought this was over-rated and contrived - will not be rushing out to buy her new book
The Gates of Rome - Conn Iggulden  - one of the better books about Rome that I have read. Well-researched.
Crusaders Gold/Atlantis - David Gibbons - both on my TBR
Innocent Traiter - Alison Weir - really enjoyed this. Weir creates a good atmosphere and credible characters
The Rule of Four - Ian Caldwell - bored me almost to tears!
The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova - quite an erudite read - loads of textual references and quotes, but good and well-researched.
The Greatest Champion/The Scarlet Lion - Elizabeth Chadwick - have enjoyed the other books of hers that I have read. Just got another one of hers from RISI
The Virgin Lover/The Queens Fool/The Boleyn Inheritance - Phillippa Gregory - have enjoyed others of hers very much
Secret of Crickley Hall - James Herbert - on TBR

A Thousand Splendid Suns - Khaled Hosseini - fantastic. Almost made me cry (and only 1 book in a whole life of reading has ever succeeded with that!)
Atonement - Ian McEwan - thought this was over-rated (sorry to everyone who loved it)
Imperium - Robert Harris - excellent portrayal of Cicero.

World Without End - Ken Follett - keep - on my TBR. I assume that the fact that you are keeping it means it is good?
The Innocent - Posie Graham Evans - I am sure I read this and enjoyed it, but can't remember it specifically at the moment

    Updated 17.12.07

The Sixth Wife - Susannah Dunn - good
