    Thanks for replying Maria, I got the ones you have commented on to pad out my swap list but I just can't put a book on without reading it first. Will have to stay away from charity shops for a bit.

    Indemnity Only                             Sara Paretsky   (First in V. I. Warshawski series, I enjoyed)
    Likely To Die                                Linda Fairstein  (Have read most of the Alex Cooper series and enjoyed them all)
    Mallory's Oracle                         Carole O'connell (Does not seem to be so well known but have read 7 of her 9 in this series and really enjoy them)
    Run For Home                              Sheila Quigley  (on my TBR)
    Skinner's Rule                            Quintin Jardine  (love this author both Skinner and Blackstone series)
    Split Second                                  Alex Kava    (absolutely brilliant series for me - looking to get hold of At The Stroke of Madness)

    Dead Certain is the second book of a trilogy according to Amazon will have to get the first before I read this. The Cecilia Ahern and Sophia Kinsella books I bought to pad out my swap list but for some reason I can't put on my swap list without reading it doesn't feel right.

    Think I have solved the problem, the author is Mariah Stewart (I thought Fantastic Fiction had failed me for a minute but here is the series.

         thanks Davbro thought  I had seen somewhere it was first but when I looked on Amazon it said it was second in a trilogy. Great will be able to read now.

    just started the survivors club today seems pretty good. Lisa gardner is excellent. Sohie kinsella books are fab - you wont be able to set them down.... ceceilia ahearn is also a good read Tess gerritsen is fantastic...vanish is from a series (you probably knew that already) which is not the first one

    Haven't read many of these books, but I did like Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time...

    I used to be a carer for autistic adults, but a lot of people say it's an interesting read even if you don't know much about it. But I liked it... the character of the dad is really well written. A nice quick and easy read.

    2. Run For Home                                                        Sheila Quigley - have enjoyed all her books
    3. Sheer Abandon                                                        Penny Vincenzi - loved it, a real blockbuster
    4. The Horse and His Boy                                              C.S. Lewis - an all time classic favourite
    5. Memory Keeper's Daughter                                       Kim Edwards (read this but daughter wants to read) - didnt live up to the hype for me
