I'm about half way through The two week wait by Sarah Rayner  I think I enjoyed one moment one morning more but it is still a good read.

This morning's parcel has made me change my mind about my next read! In Her Shadow by Louise Douglas has jumped to the top of the pile... sorry Nicky Pellegrino, you'll have to wait!

Nicky Pellegrino was a student at Lancaster University at the same time I was, although I never met her.  Her name was always popping up all over the place though.  Never read any of her books.  Maybe I should?  Not envious of her success at all.  Not one tiny bit.....Embarrassed

I've just finished reading my current ML book The Fine Colour of Rust by P.A.O'Reilly and tomorrow I'm going to make a start on another ML book The Girl You Left Behind by Jojo Moyes.

Mr Grey I don't mind at all if Henry Cavill plays you.

I finished The Silent girl by Tess Gerritsen and now more than half way through a review book called Shadows Of The Past by E.A. Jensen, there is no page breaks between scenes in a single chapter and the grammar and spelling is a bit off but I am actually enjoying the story although there is tons going on in it.  Were-animals, vampires, witches (although the witches are mostly mentioned in passing) and humans.  It is quite a mix

Just finished The two week wait by Sarah Rayner, I enjoyed the second half of the book much more than the first half.  My next read is going to be Gods and beasts by Denise Mina

A Proper Education for Girls (Elaine di Rollo) was a cracking read - well-written, lively and funny, though with a darker underlying theme about the role of and male attitudes to Victorian women.

Now I'm about a quarter of the way into Obstacles to Young Love by David Nobbs, another very entertaining read.

Having read two of Lori Lansens' novels a couple of years ago, I saved this one for a treat.  It's Rush Home Road.  Sharla is a little girl of five.  She's been dumped for the Summer on Ms Addy Shadd, an elderly black woman, whilst Mum Collete has yet another fling with yet another man.

"Mum Addy wasn't Sharla's Mum.  She wasn't even a relation.  She was an old, cigarette smoking coloured lady from the mud end of the Lakeview Trailer Park......"

Finished More Than You Can Say (Paul Torday) which, like most of his books, I really enjoyed. More of a thriller this one. My gripe is his self-destructive heroes. I had hopes for this one - for a while!

Now well into The Shape of Sand by Marjorie Eccles, which is the story of a disappearance in 1910 and its ramifications through forty years. Liking it very much.

I (finally) finished Jasmine Nights by Julia Gregson last night, it's taken me ages to read, more cos I've been busy than it's not good though, but I was starting to resent the time spent on it!!

Next up I'm reading the last of this years circle books, Bad Blood by Lorna Sage, had a quick look at it, it's already annoyed me for completely irrational reasons!!  (She quotes her Grandfather mis-quoting Hamlet! I hate when people mis-quote Hamlet, esp that one,  cos everyone knows that it's a mis-quote!!!  Grrr!!!)

I finished The Killing Place by Tess Gerritsen at bedtime last night.  An ok read but I don't think I'll be rushing to read another of hers.

At lunchtime today I will be starting..................Nothing!  I overslept this morning and in my haste to leave the house I packed the book I finished last night instead of picking up a new one - what a numpty Tongue Tied

Sepulchre by Kate Mosse and The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova
