Finished From Notting Hill with Love...Actually. Now reading The Help by Kathryn Stockett and loving it.

So am I.  I have got as far as chapter 8 and I am also really enjoying it.

I couldn't put it down, so much so that I sat and finished it this morning when I should have been doing the housework! What a wonderful book. Chose my next read as it ties in with subject matter of The Help - The Autobiography of Martin Luther King Jr which has been sitting on my bookshelf for years.

Had 'The Help' recommended to me by the publisher of talking books at a local library event a couple of years back. I. too, couldn't put it down, still have to see the film. Led me to reading 'To Kill a Mocking Bird'...Harper Lee

I sat and finished My French Whore this afternoon at mums while Zach was playing, really good little book (will do a review later or add to it if there already is one!)

Next up, a review for newbooks, Jasmine Nights, the new Julia Gregson, I loved East of the Sun, and only a page or so into this one so far, and so far so good!

Finished and reviewed She Wore Only White (Dorthe Binkert) which was good but for me, especially as it takes place on a sea voyage, but for me it lacked 'life'.

Now reading The Dirty Streets of Heaven by Tad Williams in which the angel Doleriel (aka Bobby Dollar) an advocate on earth (in his case northern California) for the souls of the newly dead, representing them as they are judged for heaven or elsewhere, also finds himself mixed up in the much bigger strife between heaven and hell. Wonderful detail and a cracking urban fantasy.

I finished The Prisoner of Heaven by Carlos Ruiz Zafon late last night - excellent read, if a little short.

I'm now reading Heaven Can Wait by Cally Taylor

Just started Night Music by Jojo Moyes on audio CD. I've joined another library as we are on the border between towns so just need some time to search the catalogue!

Finished The Prisoner of Heaven by Carlos Ruiz Zafon this morning and absolutely loved it, as I knew I would - just wish it was longer! Total change of pace next with Tasmina Perry's Perfect Strangers.

    Finished 'Hidden' by Paul Jaskunas - not too bad for a first novel;

Now reading the 7th in my 'one-word-title' book challenge:

'Mercy' by Jussi Adler-Olsen - Scandi-crime fiction from an author I have not previously heard of, this book (and others in the series) are set in Copenhagen, pretty good so far.

Just finished: Infinite Sky - C.J. Flood
Now reading: Tarnished ~ Julia Crouch
    Books read: 2011:180; 2012:208; 2013: 69

I'm jumping straight into Trust Your Eyes by Linwood Barclay which I got to review. So excited to get it that I've put my other read on hold to get started.

    Paw prints on my heart.

I'm reading The Hand That First Held Mine by Maggie O'Farrell.  This is one of those unexpected books.  It was chosen for my former book group but I chose to leave the group before we read it so it has been languishing on my TBR for a few months.  I picked it up at random yesterday without really knowing what it was about but I dived straight it.  I'm finding it a compelling read and I'm only about 80 pages in. Looks like it will be a BFH (bad for housework) book!

Sepulchre by Kate Mosse and The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova

I love Maggie O'Farrell's books but this is definitely one of the best - enjoy!!

Really enjoyed Prophecy (S J Parris), another gripping mystery featuring the very engaging Giordano Bruno.  Now, having picked it up in the current Kindle sale, and prompted by the recent review on here, I've started All My Friends are Superheroes by Andrew Kaufman, which looks set to be another quirky and poignant book, like The Tiny Wife.

I finished the truly splendid urban fantasy: The Dirty Streets of Heaven (Tad Williams) and must now work on the review.

Now well into A Case of Exploding Mangoes by Mohammed Hanif; fiction which explores the death of General Zia of Pakistan in a plane crash in 1988. Great story, darkly humourous. I like it.
