Hang in there with the books, from book 6 onwards she begins to soften towards the vampire.

I've read about three of the books. Loved them and coudln't get enough. Then I read another one and got sick of the constant action and no scene setting etc Sex all the time for her existence. I can't stand that style of writing anymore

Admittedly I have recently put my Anita's away. I think I was buying the new ones just because I always had done. I loved the first set of the series and am keeping books 1-9 as beyond those I can't remember any real plots! Oooops!

Phew.  Thought it was just me thinking that the books in the middle of the series deteriorated.  The early books were really good, but the latest book (Hit List) isn't up to that standard, although it's a heck of a lot better than some of the others were.  Be interesting to see where Ms Hamilton takes the series now...

The early books were stunning but the later ones seemed somewhat self indulgent, and yes you're right, no whereas good as the others. 1-9 are most certainly her best. Maryxx

I'm keeping up to speed by reading new releases as my local library gets them in.

I am considering reading the first one when  I've read all the books on my bookshelf. A future swap or order from my library

Just started reading the series in order, read the odd books from it, and I'm hooked!

I was the same when I started working my way through. I was spending my pocket money on the next int he series once a week!

She was a useful heroine/role model of a strong independent woman for me at a certain time of changes in my life but now my copies are going on to help someone else I hope!

Now started on book two! I really love it. Not literature but i just one read part and it was like horror. Love the character. I started reading True Blood and I got sick of Sookie after the first page.

Anita is so much better I could read more and more. Glad I decided to read them from the start. Hope my library has them all but I won't have any qualms buying

I read the first one this month - can't say I loved it though. I guess we're all different.
