Upper Fourth at Malory Towers - Enid Blyton

Darrell and her friends grow together as they share their school days. There are new students to induct, sporting matches to be won, tempers to control and tricks to play on teachers. This work presents stories about life at boarding school as readers follow the girls' lives through 6 years at Malory Towers.

This is the fourth book in this series of malory towers. I really enjoyed this book and loved it that much I read it in 1 night.

Oh i used to love Malory Towers! I read them all - have you megsy? (it was a LONG time ago though so I can't remember too much! All i can think of at the mo is Gwendolyn - is she a bit nasty?)

I used to be scared that my parents would become rich and send me off to boarding school!

Is Gwendolyn the one who brushed her hair 100 strokes everyu night before bed? I haven't read the malory towers ones for years, but I used to love them!

oh, I LOVED The Malory Towers books. Do you believe I can nearly recite verbatim the first page of the first book? Now that's really sad!

Wasn't Alicia Darrell's best mate? I have visions of her with pigtails and freckles.

The problem is I keep getting mixed up between Malory Towers & St Clares. I know that the twins were at St Clares, as was the French girl Claudine, but I can't remember much more.

Think it's good that they're still popular today. Loved them too Megsy-in fact, on holiday a few years ago there were a couple in the cottage we were staying in, and I couldn't resist reading them-and I don't re-read books! Wonder why they've stayed popular?

Sally was Darrell's best mate. Darrell thought Alicia could be her best friend at first, but then when Gwendoline set Darrell up to look like a thief Alicia turned against her. Only Sally and Marylou believed she was innocent. I'm so sad. I just re-read these books a little while ago 0000121

Loved the Malory Towers books, still have a couple of them! Enjoyed them in spite of the fact that I did go to boarding school and it wasn't like that! Neither was Chalet School, but I love those too.

I loved the Chalet School books, too. The idea of speaking a specific one of 4 languages each day appealed greatly. Plus being a LONG way from my everyday haunts.

I'm glad they're still being enjoyed.
