    Books by language

    Hello

I think it would be a good idea to be able to browse books by language.

I am particularly interested in books in Italian and German.

I tried browsing by author name and by title keywords but the results are not very sartisfying.

    Thanks for considering this.

    Regards

    Silvia

You might have a more successful search if you keep the "category" choice as Readitswapit Books and then Italian or German in the keyword box.  Using this choice it searches words in the book descriptions not just title or author.

It would be good to have a Foreign Language Fiction section though, I agree.

I did try that but still get books in English (mostly with Italian and German in the title) - or language learning books.

Which languages would you be interested in?

I have been finding the same frustration this morning.  I am interested in searching for books in Italian, French and Spanish but find the same problem as you.  It would be much easier if there was sub-categories under language that allowed you to filter further.  Furthermore if this could be done there is a good chance that the mainland Europe ex-pat community would dive in here as it is hideously expensive to import foreign language books.  Please split Language into:

    Language>

-Non-Fiction>Reference (for dictionaries and learning and phrase book guides)

    -Fiction>Italian/Spanish/German/French/Portugese etc etc

It is tiresome trawling through 274 'Language' books dumped into one category.

    Re: Books by language

I've just seen a load of books in Polish being put into the regular modern fiction section where they will get lost.

Foreign Fiction section to collect them all in would be great and make those searching for books in anything other than English much simpler.
Not seperated by language as each section would probs just have 5 books odd but together.
After an initial trawl through them all you'd only ever have to keep rechecking the first 25 on a regular basis.

Should be easy enough to do i imagine?

I also find it frustrating not being able to find foreign language books (Italian, French, German) so I've set up a new account (linguafranca) to list all my foreign books (at the moment only French) - maybe that'll be easier - what do you think?
