Setting myself an A to Z challenge
After the fun of unpacking all my books and putting them on my shelves in alphabetical order by last name of author (except some series put on separate shelves), I have decided I need to mix up my reading a bit more. To do this I have decided to read a book with an author last name from A to Z in order so that I browse right through all my bookshelves. I am not going to plan ahead but rather just pick one with the correct letter in turn. I may need some help if I encounter a letter where I don't have any authors but hopefully that won't happen until I get to X or something difficult like that.
So I am starting with A - Catherine Alliott - The Old Girl Network. No idea how this book came onto Mount toobie as I didn't buy, mooch or swap it!

Re: Setting myself and A to Z challenge
This sounds fun-I may join you.Like you, I don't like planning ahead when it comes to reading. So much of the pleasure of the next book comes from browsing the shelves, but perhaps a little structure in my case would be useful. So.....Kate Atkinson, "Human Croquet" for me!
Currently reading, "Blow on a Dead Man's Embers" Mari Strachan

Think I might join ya as well, as it might help with what books I need to read to help get my TBR list down more lol. For One More Day - Mitch Albom.

It's The Kitchen Boy by Robert Alexander.
Maybe you could ask a moderator to make this a permanent thread as others may well join in too.
It's a fun idea Saucier. Thanks.

What happens if you don't have a book for that letter of the Alphabet? Can we miss it and go on to the next letter or pop to library for a book of that letter?
Thanks xx

Re: Setting myself and A to Z challenge
Fiona, what I was going to do was look ahead one letter and if I didn't have a book then I would ask for recommendations on here for an author that I could mooch. Worst case I would skip that letter if I couldn't get anything after this attempt. Xx

Thanks Hazel. I think I might use the library for mine then or check out Fantastic Fiction and see what author my library or bookmooch or even swap would have lol.

l am waiting with baited breath for you all to get to Q and X and Z .. The selection of books available with authors names with the difficult letters is well and truly going to get booksacked (ransacked but in book terms). Perhaps first names or surnames of authors could begin with the diffcult letters this might help make the choice greater.
What a good idea and l might join in at some point but l have a few planned reads at the moment.
Good Luck with your Alphabet Reading everyone xxx
Superman or Christian Gray or in person Mr Cavill.

I like this idea however I am already doing the fiction then a non fiction then a fiction etc. If I could combine both it would be impressive!!
