Hi its Rita Tonight when i was writing post on chat and a few other forums ive noticed that one of the bars are missing the one that says font size font family, smileys etc the only way i could get these to show was to write the message post it then go back on it then edit it and then this bar would come up, im sure its not happened before tonight and its not on every forum page i want to write on like about me , is any body else having this problem

That's happening with me too. I miss my smilies!

No problems here so I can't help, I'm afraid.  Hopefully it will fix itself before long.

 I remembered that this problem was quite common when the forums were upgraded earlier in the year.  One of Neil's suggested solutions then was to clear your browser cache - I've no idea if it will do the trick, but is probably worth a try.  Here is what he said to do:

Try clearing your browser cache. In Internet Explorer 7 go to Tools > Internet Options > Under "Browsing History" select "Delete" and click "Delete Files". In Firefox go to Tools > Clear Private Data and make sure "Cache" is selected.

I have had that all yesterday and today so far. This post is a normal post that we have. Last post with what I have just received through the letterbox was not.

at the start 5 mins ago of writing this message it was still funny in fact driving me mad as i couldnt get smileys change font colour or anything on any forum at all, and on first line how i aklways write hi its rita then i start my post underneath well tonight i wrote it this way and low and behold when i posted it was all on the same line, i did go into browser but as neil, dave and ali goes on this computer i did not want to delete anything but now dare i say it or will i be jinxed it o.k.

Hi Rita - I was having the same problem earlier and it was driving me nuts, but I did what Penny suggested above and it worked, I'm ok again now.  Give it a go ... took a good five minutes to delete the browser files (don't delete "all" - just the files...) A xx

Yay, I just deleted my browing history and it's now working! *does happy dance*

This had been irritating me for the last few days and I couldn't figure out how to fix it so now I'm glad it's all sorted
