    Catherine Cookson, anyone?

I've got a pile of Catherine Cookson novels which I "chain-read" and enjoyed years ago, but am unlikely to read again. Is there anyone out there who's into Cookson and would like them? There's about thirty books, all paperback, which range from some which are in excellent condition to most which are acceptable - although none are dog-eared or falling apart, they're just older books. I've just weighed them and I reckon the lot would be under 6kg (£9.30 in post-office money) and I'd prefer to send them in larger quantities, rather than the odd one or two at a time. I'm happy to sort out preferred titles and take the rest to a charity shop if anyone wants a big batch but not all of them. (4kg would cost £6.85 for instance) Or I'm in Cheshire if anyone local wants them.

PM me if you need more details, or if you want to know if I've got specific titles.

Just in case not all of these books go, have you considered offering them on freecycle? My mum gave me her Catherine Cookson copies a year or so agao and I found they didn't swap that well. I tried to give them to charity shops but got turned away as they already had too many. I then offered them on freecycle and had quite a few people asking for them. Just a thought.

Thanks Paula. I did think about that (I'm a huge fan of Freecycle - we've got an excellent local group!) but just thought I'd offer them on risi first. I'm a dreadful chain-reader myself (if I find an author I particularly like I have to read everything they've written!) and wondered if anyone had just got interested in Cookson's books. If they don't go I'll freecycle them.

    Happy swapping.
