Very good point, Miss M. I think it probably should be fiction. the other books I've read on the subject seem to show that honesty isn't always a priority, especially amongst men. I hope your experiences weren't too traumatic...

I had a quick look around here when i registered and it looks a great place to find out about good books to read. I'm glad I came..I agree about Amazon. I think people only post reviews when the either love or hate something.

I agree, Amazon reviews aren't that good... this is the first place I come looking for real opinions! Big Smile

Nothing too traumatic, but some not pleasant... Smile

Do you see this addiction to the net turning sociey into something like the Matrix, where people live in a dream world??

It does worry me when kids prefer spending time in a virtual world to the real world. I also wonder how many of us could live a week without computers. Did you meet anyone as appalling as Trevor on your internet dating adventures?

What's the best thing you've read in the last year, Gemsey? Apart from e-luv, of course...

People like Trevor I don't tend to go for... I am quite fussy, I get lots of messages from guys like him, I just don't reply... Maybe I shouldn't say that! :q5:

I am moving this weekend and will be without the Internet at home for around 3 weeks, it's going to be a struggle, but I think I'll cope... I'll have to read more! Big Smile

Well, the internet can be a great place to meet people - I met my wife on it over 10 years ago. She, incidentally, hates the Trevor character. Three weeks without the internet? I'm not sure I could do that..

Yeah it is a good place to meet people, have made some good friends if nothing else.

I will have the Internet at work, so it won't be complete cold turkey! Big Smile

Do you see it all coming full circle and people eventually turning their backs on the internet?

I do hope so, but it seems that everyone's mum and dad is now online, too. I have friends with teenage kids, who get home from school, go to their rooms and spend all evening online.
