You have some great books on this list! I'm hoping to read a lot of these as well, ONCE I've got done with the unread books I already own.
Remember me? - Sophie Kinsella Want to read. Although I didn't like her Shopoholic series, if this is along the lines of Can You Keep a Secret? then I think I might like it.
Filthy Rich - Wendy Holden I haven't read this one but very much enjoyed The Wives of Bath.
Nighteen Eighty-Four - George Orwell I tried reading this when I just turned fifteen but found it hard to get into (however, I did read it on my lunchbreaks at my work experience placement at a nursery where the other nursery nurses read aloud gossip magazines to each other, so this may have been part of the problem!) However, I do plan on trying to read it again, and maybe being older will help me to get into it.
The No1 Ladies Detective Agency - Alexander McCall Smith I tried reading this a few years ago, but found some of the writing style a bit bizarre. There were some interesting stories in it, however. I think I should try rereading it now that I'm quite a bit older.
To kill a mockingbird - Harper Lee A must read! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
The house at Riverton - Kate Morton Want to read. I think I actually nearly bought it from a bookshop one day, but got my first Jodi Picoult instead.
Sophie's World - Jostein Gaarder I read a review of this once and thought it sounded interesting - although very bizarre! I might try reading it myself.
The true and outstanding adventures of the hunt sisters - Elisabeth Robinson This one of the few books I never finished. I'm not quite sure what it was about it, but I just found it hard to like the characters, and I recall the writing style being confusing and choppy.
We were soldiers once...and young - LT. Gen Harold G. Moore (Ret) and Joseph L. Galloway My dad loves this book, and often references it when we talk about WWII. He keeps telling me to read it, but I already have plenty of unread books on my shelves. I don't know, maybe I will take a bash at it one day.
It's a kind of magic - Carole Matthews Haven't read this one, but enjoyed "A Whiff of Scandal," which was very amusing.
Vanishing Acts - Jodi Picoult I've loved nearly every Jodi Picoult book I've read so far, and this was no exception. It's a tough read at some points, but really enjoyable.
Little Face - Sophie Hannah Want to read.
Persuading Annie - Melissa Nathan I've read "The Learning Curve" (up for swaps) and "The Waitress" and found them to be quite enjoyable reads. This one also looked quite good. Not the kind of books I'd invest it, but a still a good read.
The Curious Incident of the dog in the night-time - Mark Haddon I read this a few years ago and found it really confusing. Granted, I think I was maybe only 13 or 14 at the time, so maybe I should give it another go. I do remember that the writing was very realistic. He also writes fantastic childrens' books about a character called Agent Z. My whole family loves them.
The Lovely Bones - Alice Sebold I read this when I was 11 or 12 and I should really reread it to have a better opinion on it. I really liked it as a tween, but I remember thinking that the ending was a bit strange.
The Memory Keeper's Daughter - Kim Edwards Want to read.
Marshmallows for Breakfast - Dorothy Koomson Want to read.
My Best Friend's Girl - Dorothy Koomson Want to read.
The Colour Purple - Alice Walker I just read this a few weeks ago and couldn't put it down! I only had to because I realised that the last six pages or so had fallen out, and were in the wrong order! Brilliant book.
Can you keep a secret - Sophie Kinsella Read several years ago and enjoyed. A lot better than the Shopaholic books, and very amusing.
The Other Boleyn Girl - Phillipa Gregory Read and really enjoyed, although it may not be totally historically accurate.
The Butterfly House - Marcia Preston I keep hearing about this title and I'm not sure if I want to read it or not.
The Abortionist's Daughter - Elizabeth Hyde As above. The title makes me want to read it, but the synopsis isn't as interesting as the title!
Hurting Distance - Sophie Hannah Want to read.
My Sister's Keeper - Jodi Picoult Want to read.
The Tenth Circle - Jodi Picoult I read an extract for this book at the back of one of her other's, and although the writing was as brilliant as ever, the storyline didn't interest me so much. I'm not too keen about reading about teenagers, but my best friend has read it (impressive considering English is her second language) and said it was very good, so I may give it a go.
The Fantastic Book of Everybody's Secrets - Sophie Hannah Want to read.
Salem Falls - Jodi Picoult Read it and loved it. Although I do have a "I don't like reading books about teenagers" frame of mind, this one was very good. I'd also recently read The Crucible prior to this one, which made it even more interesting. Planning on investing in this one.
