That was amazing, didn't manage to get on last night but what an amazing friendly guy he seems to be.Read a few of his books will definately be reading more.

Didn't he sound so normal? Some of these Authors you listen to on TV and they think they are the bees knees, Mark made a refreshing change.

Thanks Fiona for arranging this and more to come yet. Pauline

mark, if you happen to check back later or are still around, PLEASE come to Glasgow, or even at a push Edinburgh
Sooz, I hate to tell you but I was in Glasgow a few weeks ago as part of the Aye Write Festival, doing a gig with Chris Brookmyre. I'll be in Edinburgh in August for the Edinburgh Books Festival. Don't know the date yet but it will be up on the website as soon as I have the info. Look forward to seeing you there maybe. take care, Mark

For Cliff's sake, me and Shaz are big fans of Marks (one of the first things Shaz gave me when we started seeing each other was Mark's first three Thorne novels), and we forgot all about this.

We've both read it, excellent chat, and an excellent guy

Top Marks (no pun intended) Fi

Well, after reading through that I think he has another probable fan - what a lovely man, and I'm certainly going to look out his books. Proof positive that RISI introduces people to new writers.  Fiona, you're a star for organising this - thank you!

I came across one of his books 'Scaredy Cat' at my mums about 2 years ago and thought it looked good so read it and that was that really...I was hooked...  I have read all of his since then and ordered Death Message from the library as soon as it came out. I completely forgot about him being on here  :q11: but have just read the chat and he sounded soooooooo nice! Completely normal and very modest. What a lovely fella. I shall definitely be looking out for his new one later in the year. I think my favourite up to now was 'Lifeless'...

Oh dear - I missed the chat - goodness knows what I was doing that evening - really disappointing......I ought to make a note in the diary.
