Can anyone help me trace a book with very little info to go on?

Exactly as I say in 'subject'!!

I read a book belonging to my mum, probably 9 years agoSurprise, which I really enjoyed.  About 7 years ago I was hoping to cadge it off her permanently, only she had given it to my sister, and my sister had passed it on too!!!!

All I can remember is there were two sisters and their parents gassed themselves and these sisters found them.  I am sure the elder was called Annie and for some reason I thought that was the name of the book but I searched for it on Amazon and couldn't get a match.  As they get older Annie takes care of her sister, always getting her out of scrapes....and that's where my memory fails and why I really want to read this book again!

There is a book called Liverpool Annie, by Maureen Lee, does anyone know if this is the book I am after?  I'd be very grateful for any help, although this request is probably not that clear, I am hoping someone can understand what I am on aboutBig Smile

    Thanks

Thanks for that.  I have done that so hopefully will get an answer.  Only trouble is I have spent the past hour and a half browsing other people's questions and have 'found' 6 or 7 books for other people!!  Now I am bleary eyed.  It's one thing being addicted to books but quite another being addicted to book sites! I went on this site last night about a book I have been trying to trace for years and I got the name of the book and author when I logged on this morning.  Thanks to blueidol for recommending the site.  I am really chuffed that I have finally traced the name of the book (A Rage Against Heaven by Fred Mustard Stewart).

I found another site too but can't remember it's name now, if I find it again I will put a link on -if I'm allowed to-(or rather my 10 year old son will!!)

Has anyone read Annie or Liverpool Annie by Maureen Lee?  They are the same book and I would like to know if this is the one I am after or if I am mixing two different books up.  Please, please help someone as it is driving me craaazzy!!
