Hello!

Could everyone who has not got a toolbar and / or paragraphs please do the following:

1. Post on here letting me know what Internet browser (for example, Internet Explorer) and operating system (for example, Windows) thyey are using.

2. When they are posting and the toolbar doesn't appear, wait for a couple of minutes just to see if it appears (I don't think it is just a problem with the page loading very slowly but I want to be sure).

3. Try clearing their browser cache. In Internet Explorer 7 go to Tools > Internet Options > Under "Browsing History" select "Delete" and click "Delete Files". In Firefox go to Tools > Clear Private Data and make sure "Cache" is selected.

4. Try a different browser. If you're using Internet Explorer try Firefox, and if using Firefox try Internet Explorer. You can get Firefox from: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ .

Don't worry if you can't do all of these -- any info helps!

Hi Neil, this problem is a strange one, because I DO get the toolbar and paragraphs sometimes yet at other times I don't! (I have them at the moment!)

I use IE and have Windows XP. My cache has been cleared 3 times since the upgrade but the toolbar/paragraphs just seem to come and go.

There doesn't seem to be any pattern to it!

Hi Neil - (1) I'm on Internet Explorer and Windows XP. (2) I have waited for toolbar to appear but it doesn't. When I press reply it is very very slow to load and all I get where the toolbar should be is

. I can see the quote sign but not use it. (3) I have done this and deleted files. Nothing has changed. (4) Haven't tried another browser yet - and a bit scared to do that! So far, situation stays the same. Penny

Don't know where that gap in the middle came from? Maybe some hope? Will try paragraph again.

No toolbar here either. Using IE7 and XP.

Same for me - sometimes they're there and sometimes not, it's about 50:50.  I'm on Windows XP2 with IE7.

I use XP and IE7 also Firefox and I don't seem to be having any problems at all !

Most of the time I use Firefox but I just checked IE7 as I use it as well and they are both OK.

Neil, I am using IE7 and Windows Vista Home premium. I have cleared all my temporary files but still nothing works. Hubbie not keen on me downloading firefox so haven't done that. Thanks for all the help so far. Hubbie is going to try his computer downstairs as he is on XP, just in case it is a vista home premium problem, as Vista is a very tempermental op system. Lisa

I use IE7 and Vista Home Premium and don't really have any problems - just occasionally I don't get the toolbar or paragraphs if I use Quick Reply, but they're always there using Reply (though it takes longer to load up). 

Have done everything you suggested Neil so posting as a test.

Hooray, it worked

I'm using AOL with Windows XP and I didn't even know there was a paragraph toolbar until I read this!

Just managed to solve my problem by using Internet Explorer instead - thanks for the advice!

 I have this problem on Mac OSX 10.4.11 with Safari and Opera, but seem to be OK with Firefox.

 As I hope this post will demonstrate...
