Re: Currently reading.... MARCH
Finished Fugitive Pieces by Anne Michaels - a most unusual book and certainly not an easy read, but quite rewarding (and moving) and the most beautiful use of language. Going to try Sam North's The Unnumbered now for Leeds Book Group on the 12th: has the most unattractive cover that's putting me right off (ok - so I'm shallow!).
Reading: The Household Guide to Dying - Debra Adelaide

Guilty as charged! Trying to get through as many as possible before I go back!. I am working from home for a few hours a day though (desperately trying to assuage guilt!). However, my habit is not as well developed as many other members (I shall mention no names) and will doubtless be curtailed very soon. However my TBR list seems to have expanded despite the quantity I have been reading - that wasn't supposed to happen!

Sorry Claire, this copy of Ferney has been lent to me so won't be going on my swaps. It is due to be published in April though.

Oh yes, I know all about that! Not really sure how on earth all these books seem to jump onto the TBR!!!!! Well, after promising myself that I would definitely finish Bold As Love by Gwyneth Jones, I've had to give it up as a bad job. It was lent to me by a friend I dont see very often, it's her favourite book and she has read it 4 times. Although I quite liked the first chapter, I just cant go on. Too much sci fi/fantasy for me, now how do I tell her? Or do I just pretend I've read it??!! Going to start Death of a Murderer by Rupert Thomson - promised to Annie130 next.

Think you have to tell her you struggled with it - otherwise she may give you loads more similar!

I know you are right Julia. She has said though that I should be able to get the rest of the series from the Library, and I only see her a couple of times a year, so I think I will tell her I did struggle and would need to space the books out....... over a long period of time!

I looked up Bold as Love and though I like theidea of the fantasy/sf side I don't think I could take the rock music theme!
I should definitely tell her. Anne. I have a friend who lends me books, and borrows mine, and for a while she was deluging me with teen fantasy which I quickly discovered is not my cup of tea. |n the end I did tell her and we've returned to the safer realms of crime!
