    Time Travellers Wife (SPOILER)

I've just finished the book. In parts I found it a tad hard going. Anyway I need clarification on one major point .....

I've tried turning the text white and I don't seem to have the option to do this so I've deleted it. Can someone who has read it PM please so I don't have to spoil it for anyone.

    Thanks

I've googled my question and got some answers and I see people out there are as equally confused as me - which is good to know!

Spoliers are allowed in this setion so you could post it here Perhaps with "SPOILER" at the top of your post then leaving a few lines empty so people don't have to scroll down to read it

I will PM you as I'm curious, although it's been a year since I read it.

    Re: Time Travellers Wife (clarification)

Well what I wanted to know was did Clare's brother/father kill Henry in the shooting accident. On one of the occasions when he appears naked in Clare's childhood they shot at something and then Henry called out to Clare who was sleeping and by time Clare appeared all that was left was a pool of blood.

However, I've been and googled it and it seems it's not as straight forward as that. There are lots of different ideas - some thought Ingrid had shot him, others thought his gene therapy had killed.

Now I'm REALLY confused ... but that's nothing new, but at least I'm not on my own!

Wendy did PM me and she thought along the same lines as me!

I wasn't usre either. Perhaps the author wanted it to be left ambigious? But why were they shooting at him? Did they see him in the woods but think it was an animal?

A naked man in the woods, in the vicinity of their young daughter/sister - I'd have shot him too!

Hopefully when the film comes out it will clarify.  Looks like it should be out November 2008.

Ooh, that looks good.  I love Eric Bana!

BTW I thought it was the shot that killed him.

I've never heard of any of the actors but loved the book so will look out for it when it's released.  I also think it was the shot that killed him and, yes, it was complicated but was such an original story.

I was also under the belief that it was the shot that killed Henry. I had forgotten about the bit earlier in the book about Claire's Father and Brother shooting at something.

It's been a while since I read it too, but I thought that it was both, with the flipping around here and there, that he had 'landed' at the same place twice?!

Didn't know it was going to be made into a film!  Will 'watch' out for it!
