2006's winners for those who are curious were...

WINNER:My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult

IN SECOND PLACE:The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

IN THIRD PLACE:We Need to talk About Kevin - Lionel Shriver

AND TRAILING IN LAST PLACE:The Time Traveller's Wife - Audrey Niffenegger

so it looks as though both khaled hosseini and jodi picoult are proving to be two of our favourite authors on RISI -still need to read a jodi picoult, i have one on my TBR pile....

I've read all of them and would thoroughly recommend all of them.  With A Thousand Splendid Suns on the Richard and Judy Winter Reads list and now available really cheaply, I have a feeling it will feature strongly in this year's nominations too, well I hope so!  Thank you Mark for orgainising all of this. Big Smile

Snap Sarita, me too.  I've been trying to read them in published order but must bump it up now.  As for the others, I loved them all.

I was lucky enough to hear Diane Setterfield read from and talk about The Thirteenth Tale last year, she also signed my copy for me.  She speaks as well as she writes - there is a great story behind the writing of the book.  From what she said though, I fear it may be a while before her next book arrives!

Thanks Mark for all your hard work on this.

I read 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' and thought it was much better than The Thirteenth Tale. We discussed it at my book group and I found it really though provoking.

I've got Nineteen Minutes in my TBR pile.  I guess I should get cracking!
