The Devil Wears Prada - Lauren Weisberger

When Amanda first steps in the plush Manhattan office of Runway whe knows nothing.  She has never heard of the worlds most fashinable magaizine, or its feared fawned over editer Miramda Pricestlty.

I enjoyed this book I heard its been made into a film too so i will have to see if I can see that sometime.  Love Ros x

I did it the other way around. I had the book on Mt 2B for ages. I'd put it off as the print was quite small in my copy, it might have been a promo one.  When I did start to read it, I got engrossed and it was only after I'd finished it, I heard it was to be filmed.  When I put it on RiSi it was snapped up in no time. I'm still waiting for the film to be shown on TV.  No doubt it will appear sometime. Brilliant ending!

I've had the book on my TBR for ages... then I cheated and went and saw the movie instead - which I loved. The book is still on my TBR though...

Books are usually better than the film as the films often leave out so much.

Although if you don't like the film, it saves you wasting time reading the book.  I've had The Ciderhouse Rules on my TBR for ages and I taped the film some months ago but still haven't got round to watching it!

I've seen the film - very good - and I had the book for a while but swapped it on without reading it.  Me and my colleagues all agree that our boss IS Miranda Priestley, but a lot of people probably feel the same way about their boss.

I have this on my TBR. I have seen the film and I didn't like it that much, but I have heard the book is better so will give it a go.

I loved the book - some real laugh out loud moments!  Still haven't got round to seeing the film - keep meaning to get it out on DVD but think I will need to pick a night when the OH is out!

I read the book and then saw the film.  The book was great but the film was a bit of a let down (I felt that it did not do the book justice)

My boss is fine, but he looks exactly like Ned Flanders in the Simpsons and has some of the same mannerisms.  If he ever says "Okely dokely" there will be a riot! :q33:
