Apparently it was posted on the 27th of November but the swapper unfortunately didn't get proof of posting.  She's offered me another free swap to make up for it.  Is it too soon to take her up on it?  What about feedback?

I'd give it a few more days. The post might be slowing down now due to the extra Christmas post.

I would probably wait until early next week to see if the book arrives before accepting another swap. I would still give positive feedback as it is not the other person's fault a book goes missing in the post and he/she has done the best to resolve the problem by offering you another swap. 

Hope your book turns up.

I posted a book recently that took 14 days to get there!  We were just about to giveup hope hwen I got an email to say it had finally arrived!

I wouldn't give up on it yet either - the post is utterly erratic at the moment, with some things arriving in the blink of an eye and other stuff taking literally weeks.  I've had several parcels take well over 10 days to get here, and even 1st class some things are taking over a week. 

However, if it doesn't ever show up, then I don't think you can really mark someone down for something that's not their fault, especially if they have done what they can to rectify matters.  Hope it doesn't come to that though, and that your book turns up soon.   Just as an afterthought, have you checked that it's not lurking at your local sorting office - we've heard of plenty of cases where the postie hasn't left a card for a failed delivery but taken a parcel back to the sorting office anyway.  Might be worth a check just to make sure. 

Hi there, A similar thing recently happened to me! My swapper never recieved the book I sent so I said that she could take another book from my list.  I emailed my list and sent off the book she wanted (Thankfully there was another one she fancied) The book arrived 2nd class in 2 days and we each left each other 5*. We kept intouch through email, just so we both knew what was happening, and I think that's the key. Even if you do have proof of posting, all you can do is get the money back for the book. The person who is waiting for the book doesn't really win! Then on Friday the missing book showed up back here at long last, lord knows where it had been. Needless to say I'm emailing my swapwe to she if she still wants the book and we can swap all over again.

Make sure the return addy is full and clear, I think thats the main reason I got my book back. Keep communicating, thats the key, plus it helps that all my swappers so far have been lovely people.
