An avid reader from Leeds
Picked from the garden, some weeds
Which she pressed in a book
But a daisy got stuck
On a page in a tome on rare breeds.
One day and purely by chance
Fred and Edith went to the dance
They twirled and they span
and knocked over a Gran
So they dashed out the hall at a prance
One bright and very sunny day
All the children went out to play
They went to the park
And played until dark
When they had to go home for their tay
("tay" is Black Country for tea )
There once was a camel named Freddie
Who felt a little unsteady
For one of his humps
Had lop-sided lumps
