I am getting angry with the Royal Mail now!!! Still no size guide, and we've had no post now for 4 days!!!! We went to the sorting office to pick up a parcel and they told us they are so far behind and parcels for Desborough are just stacking up and not getting delivered!! Trouble is I've put christmas presents on the internet and they haven't turned up. They were posted to me almost a month ago too!

It's strange, because some things are just speeding through! I ordered a mains adaptor for my hubby's MP3 player on Monday night and received it yesterday! At a week before Christmas, that's fantastic service. I'm still waiting on swaps posted before that, though!

I wish they'd up the thickness to 3cm as my books all seem to be thick ones *lol*

I just wanted to say that although the sticky says to use labels in your printer to buy postage online you can just use good old A4 paper and then sellotape it to the package :)

Reading this has reminded me that I ordered a size guide AGES ago and no sign.  How annoying.

I just read Jubes post about being told that they don't do the free ones anymore - only ones that cost £25 - blinking cheek!

I got one in the form of a ruler from Amazon for £3.77 plus postage (which was actual £4.95 but still comes to alot less then £25 and takes up less space).

    Try this one:  http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pricing-in-Proportion-PIP-Ruler/dp/B000HXE4PW/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1205171566&sr=8-1

I've ordered one of these and it turned up today. It's really good and every bit as good as the plastic ones at the post office, if not better as it has more uses to it. Recommend it highly.

I ordered one recently and Royal Mail sent me an email which I couldn't open so I don't know if they are going to send me one or not.  However, it they are going to charge £25, I'll do without!

My very lovely engineer husband came home from work with one that he had made for me!   He'd used the one the girls in the office have as a template.  I thought it was very sweet of him

    Hi

I asked a post mistress to put my package through the slot thingy and she said, "that is too thick for  a large letter, I can tell". I said I would like her to check, so she said she couldn't find it. So I said I would wait till she did. Lo and behold, much to her grumpiness, it did fit the through the slot. Moral: Don't ever back down if you know you are right, and even if you only think you are right.

I thought they were supposed to keep the measuring thingies on the counter or at least available at all times, so all packages can be checked?  There's no way you can tell just by looking if it's just under/just over the 2.5cm thickness limit.  Well done for standing your ground.  I wonder how many people who were less determined have been ripped off by this?
