Hi all. 

I've tweaked a few things that should make the forums faster.

If, however, you're experiencing speed issues when writing new forum posts then try the following:

1. Click on your name in the top-right.
2. Click on the "Site Options"
3. Where it says "Content Editor" change this to "Plain Text".
4. Click "Save Changes"
   

This will change the editor that you use to write forums posts to a simpler version, which won't allow you to change font styles etc. but which will load faster.

If you're experiencing speed issues when looking at forum posts you might like to try the following:

1. Click on your name in the top-right.
2. Click on the "Site Options"
3. Where it says "Display user avatars" select "No"
4. Where it says "Display user signatures" select "No"
5. Click "Save Changes" 

This will mean that users' avatars and signatures are not displayed, meaning that pages will load quicker.

Also, probably the #1 thing you can do to make viewing these forums faster is to use the Firefox web browser. Get it from http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/products/firefox/
