    Re: Deefer's TBR List

The House at Riverton - Kate Morton Want to read this one. Nearly bought it, but as I'm a student and don't have much money, I'm really trying not to buy books in case I don't like them and end up having wasted £6.99 that I could have spent on buying...stationary, or something exciting like that Stick out tongue

The Virgin Lover/The Queens Fool/The Boleyn Inheritance - Phillippa Gregory Loved The Other Boleyn Girl so will be having a look for these at the library sometime.

The Last Concubine - Lesley Downer Want to read this

Getting Rid of Matthew - Jane Fallon WTR

No Time For Goodbye - Linwood Barclay WTR

The Resurrectionist - James Bradley Not sure about this one. It looked interesting from the synopsis, but has mixed reviews on Amazon. My Nanny was reading it when I was staying with them last week, and she said it was strange but good, so I might try it.

A Quiet Belief in Angels - RJ Ellory Read this last week. Very good, although there were points in the second half where I got bored with the story, and just wanted to find out who the murderer was! It was definitely worth reading though.

Measure for Measure - William Shakespeare - won't be reading any more Shakespeare plays Ha! At least you don't HAVE to read any more Shakespeare plays! I'm currently working my way through Othello, and although the storyline is very interesting, the lack of stage-direction irritates me. It's just constant speech! I do want to go on and study English Lit., but this particular play is getting a little tedious.

The Diplomat's Wife - Pam Jenoff WTR
Kommandant's Girl - Pam Jenoff WTR

    Swaps Wish List

Half of a Yellow Sun Really good, Gets off to a bit of a slow start but by page 80 I was hooked.

Atonement Loved It, the best Ian McEwan novel by a long way

The God of Small Things Beautiful. I would suggest you read this somewhere hot and sunny!

The Bonesetter Daughter Very good, as usual she writes wonderfully about female family relationships. Not quite as good as The Joy Luck Club, however.
