Ha :o) Stevenage must be a far nicer place at the moment than 'leafy Letchworth' - where we have had the shooting ! :o(

Hey Marie: no, I'd never thought of it actually.

    Can you tell me more?

Its not a swap site or anytihng like that but its a place you go to advertise stuff you want to get rid of - to save it going to the tip.  You can offer stuff on there (people offer allsorts such as sofas, tables, kids stuff, clothes etc ) anything really, if you see something u fancy u email the person to see if its still avalible and then arrange collection. You can also request stuff and see if anyone kindly has what u are after - u never know. There are often people advertising books and such on there - i have registered with LGC and Stevenage (if u are happy to travel to collect) Its all free - u are doing one another a favour as such. Its a really good idea and saves stuff being thrown away unneccasrily

    Hi Linda and Marie

I havent been on the forums for a while so was pleased to see this post! I live in Letchworth too!!

I think I've been in touch with Marie on the Freecycle site? I got a box of books from there a couple of months ago! I don't have transport so I mostly offer goods. If I want an offer I usually ask if they (the offerer) is on a bus route so I can collect with my trolley! Some kind folk have even delivered to me.

Would be good to meet up sometime and any others in North Herts

I joined Letchworth Arcadians for a little while, but unfortunately the show I was going to be in (Follies) never happened, so I left. It's not too long a drive for me - just over 2 hours, I think.

Aahh, thanks Marie :o)  I think so :o)

No, sorry - haven't had a chance yet: but I am worried that Yahoo might bombard me with loads of stuff I don't want.  What do you think?
