Hi Marie. I'm in North Hertfordshire (Letchworth -- of the First GardenCity fame! :o)Whereabouts are you?
The group sounds a good idea.

Hi everyone, I live in Watford too, I think the general idea, is to meet up having previously agreed on a book, and discuss the book, just wanted to put the feelers out to see if it was something peole might be interested in,
I am currently reading: Devil May Care by Sebastian Faulks My Swaps

YEah Letchworth is a ten minute drive - we can literally drop books around to each others house instead of posting! hehe
I love Davids bookshop in LGC - saw he had had a couple of signed books there but missed out when i went back:(

Yes, David's is a great place for 2nd hand books -- lots of choice and cheap too. The charity shops here ask phenomenal prices for their books.
Let me know if you are interested in a local book group

Hi,
As mummymelly mentioned, I'm in Watford too. (Incidently I'm originally from Hatfield and have lots of friends and family living in WGC and Stevenage!)
I'm potentially interested in joining a local book group. It really depends on the commitment levels required, but I'm sure a monthly meet up wouldn't be too arduous. Let me know if this gets off the ground and if there's enough of us locally to give it a try.
Also I can drive us Melissa so don't worry about that!
xx

Nutty mum - your not missing much in stevenage! ITs going down hill - we are trying to buy a 3 bed house but there are not many nice areas to chose from nowadays
In fact my parents where looking to buy a bungalow in northamptonshire not so long ago!
