Tis very good am about half way through and thoroughly enjoying it.

The Memory Keeper's daughter.  I got fed up of being turned down for swaps so hubby bought me it at the weekend!  (Not without a bit of whinging about my TBR pile though!!)

Presume you mean To Kill a Mockingbird.  Yes, there is a section near the beginning where the author tells you the history of the county and the family but it isn't a long section and once you are through it and into the story proper you will love it - promise!

I'm about ten or twelve chapters in HP & The Deathly Hallows!

 I read Getting rid of Matthew earlier this year and loved it - found it very funny Which reminds me let a friend borrow it and not had it back will need to ask her about it.
