    MOBILE LIBRARY APPLICATIONS

In order to join the Mobile Library (where books are passed round a group of members) you have to attain certain criteria, these being :-

    1. have had at least 100 recent posts on the forums.

    2. have had at least 50 five starred rated swaps

In addition, acceptance as a member of the ML is subject to a poll of existing ML members, and admittance will only be granted if a substantial majority of those members indicate they would be happy to lend their books to the nominee.

Please remember that it is ultimately the decision of the original owner of the book as to who they would like to send their book to and I'm sure we're all reasonable people who can accept this.

If anyone is interested in joining the RiSi Mobile Library and meets the above criteria, please send a PM to Frangipani.

But you don't have to own 50 books to eventually build up 50 swaps - just read whatever you swap for and then put them back on!

Your swap list doesnt have to consist only of books that you've actually read. I get books from charity shops, library sales, friends, family, etc and put them on my swap list. It means i have a bigger selection to offer people.

I don't have 50 ***** ratings yet and anyway I live in Dubai, but I'd like to put a book on the mobile library. Is this possible? Would also like to be able to track it and read people's comments.

    Ok, no prob.

Hope you feel better soon Treez. xx

Will be coming to UK with book early July so no hurry.

Just for general interest - "the book" is holly H Harvey's Karma.

She won a competition to get it published and I met her on another forum. She says she'd like as many people to read it as poss, even if they don't buy it.

I really enjoyed it even though I'm not a great chick lit fan, it's better than the usual chick stuff and great fun. She's got all 5***** ratings on Amazon too.

If I can't put it on here I'll put it on the YOU reading group so if anyone's interested PM me.

Sounds like a great idea, how do you find out what books are on offer?

You have to apply to become a member and have the criteria I mentioned re no of posts and 50 5* swaps under your belt.  It is a private members group open to application by those who have met the criteria and are accepted by the other members.  Now we sound like the masons but it's not like that at all!!
