Fifty Shades Freed by E.L. James

Fifty Shades Freed (Fifty Shades, #3)Fifty Shades Freed by E.L. James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Time Taken To Read - 1 day

    Blurb From Goodreads

When unworldly student Anastasia Steele first encountered the driven and dazzling young entrepreneur Christian Grey it sparked a sensual affair that changed both of their lives irrevocably. Shocked, intrigued, and, ultimately, repelled by Christian’s singular erotic tastes, Ana demands a deeper commitment. Determined to keep her, Christian agrees.

Now, Ana and Christian have it all—love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of possibilities for their future. But Ana knows that loving her Fifty Shades will not be easy, and that being together will pose challenges that neither of them would anticipate. Ana must somehow learn to share Christian’s opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own identity. And Christian must overcome his compulsion to control as he wrestles with the demons of a tormented past.

Just when it seems that their strength together will eclipse any obstacle, misfortune, malice, and fate conspire to make Ana’s deepest fears turn to reality.

    My Review

This is the third and last installment of the trilogy. This book finds the erotic, naughty, blushing and on the edge in full force and we also get all our answers to the questions raised from the previous book.

Christian and Ana now have everything, commitment, each other, wealth and a strong foundation for their relationship yet there is still someone trying to take Christian down and will stop at nothing (and noone) to get it.

With action (in all senses of the word), drama, thrills and closure E.L. James has rounded off the final book really well and the fans who loved the first two will not be disappointed. 4/5 for me this time.

I agree this final book brought the trilogy to a very adequate conclusion and not only has it been an erotic style romance there have also been elements of a thriller in there as well.  8/10 for me too.  Alright it might not have been the best well written trilogy on earth but it kept me reading and I managed to finish all three books in just over a week.  They are all keepers and I will reread them at some point.

Mr Grey I don't mind at all if Henry Cavill plays you.

Well, the whole trilogy was excellent, I kept expecting to be disappointed after reading a lot of reviews so am delighted to say this was not the case. Very satisfactory ending to a great series!!!

Just finished this one myself and overall I really enjoyed the series (as did my wife, who finished it before I did). I particularly liked the small bits at the end of the book [possible spoiler follows - highlight to read], one giving a brief sight of Christian as a recently-orphaned foster child moving in with his foster parents and Elliott and the other telling of the first meeting between Christian and Ana but from Christian's point of view - this made me go back to Book One and re-read their first meeting as told by Ana. Great reading overall even if not going to be seen as literary classics.

I've asked the Mods to white out some of your review as it's a bit of a spoiler.  I hope you don't mind.

Can't really see how just mentioning Christian and Ana's first meeting could be seen as a spoiler but then.......!!
