I know! I am an internet web-page genius aren't I! I'll be doing a wishlist next, when I can find all the bits of paper that I have scribbled down the books I want on.
I loved the Curious Incident too, it was a lovely book, good storyline, set in England and really easy to read - just how I like my books to be.

Finished reading "Annie Mays Black Book" and I gave it 7/10. I really liked it, it wasn't exciting, but I liked her style of writing, it really flowed, was to the point, with no waffling - a nice, easy, quick read to get my TBR pile down a bit

Re: Yo'Yo's "To be Read" Thread
Finished "A Spot of Bother" by Mark Haddon this evening. I gave it 6/10 because although I enjoyed it at the end, I didn't really get into it until half way through, and if it wasn't for the fact I hate giving up on books unless they are truly dire, I would have ditched it before then, as there seemed to be no evidence of a storyline til half way through. Anyway it got better, and ended up being a good book.
Started "Brand New Friend" by Mike Gayle earlier on and I'm finding it quite unputdownable, and have read over 100 pages already.

Re: Yo'Yo's "To be Read" Thread
I went to Blackpool for the weekend on Friday, came back this afternoon and finished three books in those four days!
Brand New Friend - Mike Gayle. I loved this one, liked the characters, liked the storyline, found it really easy to read and really hard to put down. I think Mike Gayle might be my Brand New Favourite Author!! 8/10.
Then I read: "The Ex-Wives Survival Guide" by Debby Holt. I liked this one better than "Annie May's Black Book" 8/10.
Then I moved onto to "Liz Jones's Diary: How one single girl got married" by Liz Jones, which I was dreading to be honest since I started my poll, and someone said they couldn't stand Liz Jones!! However, I really enjoyed it, and couldn't put it down. The book was witty and funny, and made me laugh. However, I hadn't realised it was non-fiction, so had listed it with my fiction titles!! That's rectified now anyway. I liked it so much it got 9/10.
Haven't decided what to move onto next.......

Re: Yo'Yo's "To be Read" Thread
Okay, decided what to read next, and have started on "All that Glitters", an autobiography by Pearl Lowe. It was adapted and serialised in (I think) the Daily Mail, and was quite interesting, so I treated myself to it in hardback.

Re: Yo'Yo's "To be Read" Thread
I finished "All That Glitters" by Pearl Lowe yesterday and gave it a 7/10. It had already been adapted and serialised for the Daily Mail, and I have to say there wasn't much in it that I hadn't read in the paper, so there was nothing in there that surprised me.
Started reading "The Girls" by Lori Lansen straight afterwards and I am loving that so far!! Could easily be book of the month for September (seeing how I have already done my 'what I read in August' post)
I've also added a few more to my "To Be Read" pile
- The Time Travellers Wife - Audrey Niffeneger
- Starter for Ten - David Nicholls
- Perfect Match - Jodi Picoult
- The Game - Mandasue Heller
- The Tenth Circle - Jodi Picoult
- Shadow of a Princess - PD Jephson
- Affinity - Sarah Walter
- The Seven Year Itch - Emlyn Rees & Josie Lloyd
- The Mummy Diaries - Rachel Johnson
- Fiends Reunited - Paul Reizen
- Brown Owl's Guide to Life - Kate Harrison
- Fallen Women - Sue Welfare
- Don't you Want Me- India Knight

Re: Yo'Yo's "To be Read" Thread
Finished "The Girls" by Lori Lansen, and I really enjoyed it and thought it was a brilliant book. I liked how it was written with each chapter being written by a different twin with one in the past, and one in the present, the storyline was lovely, and it's been a long time since I have read such a good work of fiction. 10/10
Will be starting "The Rise and Fall of a Yummy Mummy" by Polly Williams next.....
